Caen Hill Locks - Added to Rivers and Canals in South West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Parking on site for just a donation of £1 all day, payable at the Cafe upon arrival.
Cafe serves hot and cold food as well as drinks.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 04/08/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Nice place isn’t it.

I travelled up the locks on a boat yesterday - and got a few shots too. Noticed a couple of quite low aircraft later in the day. One was a tiny plane (bit bigger than a microlight) I wondered if it had just taken off from a field at the bottom of the locks, where there is a stripe mown across a field? The other was a military helicopter - which looked pretty low from the top of the hill. Probably best to keep a fair bit under the 120m.
