Cinderbarrow Picnic Site - Added to Everything Else in North West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Public picnic area surrounded by the track of Lancaster & Morecambe model engineering society. They run trains most summer weekends when you wouldn't be able to fly, full of people. Occasionally they have a day where they work on their engines and no rides, that was when I went because the only non-society members were parking up to go for a walk.

I checked with the society on Facebook and they said they're ok with a drone. The land is council owned and their drone rules are to follow the drone code.

Lunchtime is the best time if you want to catch a train on the circuit.

Parking on site and the w3w address is ///sorters.straddled.major

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 30/08/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I know Geoff who runs that, he’s a lover of engineering and tech, and was fascinated with my drones.
