Grey Point Fort, Helen's Bay, Co. Down - Added to Everything Else in Northern Ireland

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Grey point Fort is a 20th century coastal fort, used in both World Wars. It houses a small museum and exhibition and the WW2 guns are still in place. There is a small free car park on site but if it’s full there is a much larger car park (also free) a short walk away near Helen’s Bay beach. It can also be accessed on foot from the North Down Coastal Path which runs along the front of the site.
The fort, itself, is now closed for maintenance until further notice.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 31/07/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Sun’s out! Guns out! :+1:

Shortly after 7am this morning, just me, a couple of dog walkers, a single jogger. Oh, and also a few mad sea swimmers down on the beach.
