Lisnabreeny WW2 memorial to fallen American soldiers, 140 soldiers were temporarily interred on this site and exhumed in the early 1950s and repatriated to the US. Their names are recorded on the memorial.
The site which is to the south of Belfast and overlooks the city is maintained by the local council. Care must be exercised due to the proximity of Belfast City Airport, consequently I did not fly higher than 65 feet and I kept my flight time to a minimum, less than 12 minutes. (Air 2S)
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 28/04/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
