Woburn Sands Woods - Added to Everything Else in East of England

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Next to the main road there is a “car park” where you can leave the car and walk though the woods. Pretty easy to find and it is a structure that is abandoned and where it is quiet.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 18/10/2018. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Just had a look on drone assist app and there is an airport nearby, with two flight restriction zones very close

Thankfully the Drone Scene map shows you just how far away the FRZs are, so you won’t wander in to them by accident.

Wouldn’t want another Gatwick on our hands eh :scream:

Thanks for adding to the map @Mind_the_gap :+1:t2:

@Grimbo, it is close enough to, but it is outside. Seen it on the map, you can see that there is plenty of space to fly safely. To enter the FRZ from this place, you would need to go as far as to the other side of town and most likely would lose reception.
@PingSpike that would not be fun :star_struck:

It is over 2km away from Cranfield Airport’s FRZ so way beyond 500m / VLOS.

That’s a handy measuring tool
