Yellowcraigs Beach - Added to Beaches and Seaside Resorts in Scotland

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Yellowcraigs is a popular beach about 40mins drive from Edinburgh. In the summer it can get very busy and would likely not be suitable for flying. I have been a few times off season and early evening and have had the beach to myself, especially to the west side where there are views of Fidra light house. The beach is bordered by sun woodland and scrub, high dunes to the east and lots of pleasant walks. There is an obvious car park at the end of the road and from memory it is around £1 (I was cycling last time).

I asked about permission at the Caravan Park but they didn’t know

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 22/10/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
