Haven’t had a tree nick my chips yet! As I say, this particular tree, a Beech, treated Mr.Drone very gently, but might well have sneaked up on him from behind. You could see on the screen how he was passed from branch to branch and deposited carefully on the grassy ground, right way up and completely undamaged! I was lucky!
I was about 100yds away on the other side of a lake, and could not directly see what had happened as the viewpoint was looking into the evening sun. The screen map showed where he was, and when I’d walked around the end of the lake, not much more than a 5minute schlep, I turned on ‘find my drone’ and set it beeping and flashing. I have skinned it in day-glo orange, and could see it in the grass before I heard the beeping and saw the flashing; the recovery went perfectly!
Did a close examination, as far as was possible in the dark, and all seemed ok so I sent it back up for another flight, watching it very carefully this time but it was fine.
Whatever - still reportable
All joking aside I am glad you recovered it and it was ok.

Umm really. I think as props as consumables for FPV drones.
we would never get any flying done sat there filling out online forms However a cracked prop on a agricultural drone might be an issue so best report the prop change and explain what happened just incase the AI reports us thanks to DJI
