It was a bit grey and misty with either rain or sun threatening to break through. I had the chance to fly over the village church, Wilmington Priory and its ruins, and of course The Long Man of Wilmington.
The Long Man is now thought to date from C16 or C17 and according to Wikipedia the ‘modern figure is formed from white-painted breeze blocks and lime mortar’. The blocks can be seen in the video.
