So, I have an update on the white screen issue when I tried to film a hyperlapse. It was user error. Whist embarrassing, I think it important that I share it with the group so that others learn from my mistake.
As a reminder, I was going to record a hyperlapse of Tower Bridge. I moved the drone into position and started to set up the hyperlapse, but the screen went white. I pressed RTH and the screen came back again.
I tried to do another hyperlapse today, and the same thing happened. And then it hit me - auto photo settings!!! Last week was particularly sunny. The previous hyperlapse I did was at night, and I’d adjusted the camera settings to a manual exposure. It remembers these setting, so when I started it up, it was set for night during brilliant sunshine, so was massively over-exposed.
Solution: Tap on the Pro icon bottom-right of the screen to revert it to Auto, and the screen goes back to normal.
You learn something new every day
I don’t use the hyperlaspse software, do your own and sort it in post edit. much more fun!
