Air 2 controller/app not communicating?

Ive just tried mine using the USB-C at the bottom of the controller to connect my phone and it doesnt work at all.

When you tried the bottom, USB-A, port, had you removed the micro-usb plug from RC’s side port?
If that is left in place, the USB-A port won’t work.
This was always the case for earlier models, so I’m assuming the case for the MA2.

If that’s still in the RC (and even though not connected to the phone), the lower USB-A socket just won’t function.

… since I know of people that have the MA2 and use the USB-A socket for their tablets without any issue

Hey Dave the Air 2 controller doesnt have any USB-A ports it just has 2 USB-C ports. One at the bottom for charging the remote and one hidden under the phone holder for connecting the phone to the remote.

Unless there is an older version of the MA2 controller ( Ive only had mine a few weeks now)? Or maybe youre thinking of the Pro 2 controller? Im not familiar with that one.

Connected my phone to my controller again and noticed when it is connected there is a small message in the DJI Fly App above the ‘Connect to Aircraft’ button saying ‘remote controller connected’

Can you look at your controller, it looks like one of the pins might be bent?

You could be right! Its very difficult to take a pic of but Ive tried my best below.
