I heard a light aircraft flying nearby, saw it reducing height, and thought the engine sounded odd…so sent the Mini 2 up to see where it ended up - seems it has landed at Rossall school.
No idea whether it was a forced landing

Update - it was an emergency landing due to fuel shortage
Guess the CAA will be havinf a quiet word!! (Tenner worth fill up before flight? )
Good airmanship though picking that spot ( as recommended in basic flying instruction for engine failure etc.,)
Theres a BP garage just down the road from there, get your 2 litre can and start walking…
I know fuel is expensive but bad fuel planning is inexcusable. Speaking as a real life pilot incidentally
Cheers - Rob.
Slightly off topic but when I was at Fleetwood Nautical College one of the lecturers wife was a teacher at Rossall Preparatory School who uncovered a very dubious money making scheme by some of the boarding girls. The regional Vice Unit was also involved.
