But you won’t be viewing the flight live from the 360, you will be using the Avata 2 camera
That’s the joy of the 360 cam, you don’t need to review it live as it’s all done afterwards.
I would have thought that a safety caveat would be that the cameras were forward facing only, unless the drone was hovering, I see nowt but issues when people will fly the Antigravity whilst turning the view through the 360 field of view
from what I have seen on line there is a little dot on the screen a bit like how the Avata with the motion controller works so you can see the direction of travel / forward facing of the drone so when you move your head to have a look around centre / forward facing will be the direction of travel. Its quite intuitive. You can do something similar on the Mini 3/ 4pro with goggles on and head tracking that you fly the drone forward and if you move your head the drone / gimbal moves to the direction your looking but the drone keeps the same course of flight.
This looks like another Karma effort to me
Wait for the Avata360
And you’ll see the drone/props in the footage.
I do like how this drone gives a clear, uninterrupted, view in all directions. You can then edit footage to view in any direction .. without drone/props
That’s a plus. And, until we see what DJI do, the only cool feature, IMO.
I’ve not watched the reviews yet either, but are Insta not doing invisible props like they do with their invisible selfie sticks? ![]()
There is no issue with the Antigravity .. one lens above the body/props and one below.
The bonus being there are no object removal artifacts.
With a Insta360 mounted on a drone, the drone/props are too large to be automatically removed. Even a selfie stick leaves a few artifacts.
Ahhh right, sorry, missed the part about the stick on Insta360 ![]()
Check out the should I buy video I linked above it will show you how well they are removed - Its impressive - overall its quite an impressive setup - think the big issue with this drone is there is no other Insta drone benchmark and as its the first, people are concerned about will it be any good.
We seem to be a DJI bias and Insta have been quite bold with this product to try and shake things up it seem.
DJI has the added bonus that controllers can be cross compatible with other DJI drones so that helps keep customers.
Has anyone seen any trace of an EASA C0 label in any of the unboxing / review videos ![]()
And I’ll be saving £1500 by not buying the new drone ![]()
And I’m saving an additional £500 by not having an Insta360 that is probably only whey use a couple of times. #WinWin ![]()
Lots of marketing blurb seem to mention depending on the battery it is C0
BUT…
its not listed on this site as being certified
From the user manual on the Antigravity website:
Nice find, thanks @CheerPhil - I couldn’t see it mentioned anywhere on the website at all.
One slight downside I can see, is the lack of enclosed prop guards. would make me nervous flying through forests or under things. Good thing about avata is it’s a lot more resilient to accidental brushing against things and still keep in the sky
Have a look at Hugh Huo review on YT. This guy is one of the most clued up people around on 360 stuff. Unsponsored, unbiased and very honest in his opinions. Very informative. Much as I like Insta stuff Ill hang on for the Avata 360 before deciding.
Oh my, this looks awesome. Flying with a decent headset where you have a 360-degree view is awesome. Only ever done it in VR with fligh sims and space sims with a Pimax Crystal but being able to do that with a drone would be awesome. If they added Thermal camera or better still starlight camera. I’d buy one. Yesterday.
The stitch line is there on examples I have seen.
Plus the quality is pretty poor image wise.
Whilst I love 360 this is a pass from me
