This is our village, Bare. Lovely calm evening, no cloud cover and making sure the Mini 2’s meeting with a logstore had no ill side effects, once the rear props were changed (note to self, lefty uppy, righty loggy).
Highlight of any day on the Crescent is parking, the village is well known for an average age of 80+ and the driving/parking is that expected of octogenarians - always wanted a sports car, reached an age when they can afford one, forgotten there’s more than 1st gear and think everyone else knows they have right of way either side of the road.
Nest still there but the Elms is long gone, replaced by gated retirement flats and you can see them in the photo against the right hand edge. What you’re seeing as the big site was a children’s home many many years ago, now a gated site of flats.
