Not sure if the right thing to do is buy a pair of goggles as most modules seem to be out of stock, the below seem ok and the available to buy ..
UnmannedTech has the module in stock
I do not know those goggles so cannot really comment on quality compare to your DJI’s tbh
Yah I’ll YT them when I get home, iv seen the above on Unmanned but when costing I’m looking over 100 pounds when iv brought antennas and the mounting for the back of the module hence why I’m thinking of getting goggles ![]()
Ok finally made a decision and a purchase, after much research Iv gone for the Foxeer wildfire from above. Iv had to get the mod for the uruav analog adapter from Banggood so going to be a while before Im up and running. As for the antenna, hmmm not sure looking at the Foxeer Pagoda Pro 5.8G RHCP Omni FPV Antenna but unsure if im supposed to have x 2 antenna??? As iv seen people on YT with 1 …
yeah - you can connect a single antenna to start with
The strange thing is im really excited to fly analog as never experienced it before, who knows I may ditch the digital ![]()
For 1S whoops - analog flight perf is so much better than DJI/Walksnail/Ascent/…
I have a 1S Walksnail HD whoop (Meteor 75 Pro - my first drone) - and I never fly it - too big/heavy for indoor (difficult to manage and hits things hard) and ridiculously short flight time when flying a bit harder outdoor.
An analog Air65 (arguably one of the best current indoor whoop) runs circles around my HD whoop - so much more fun to fly - and cost £60 all in (w xtra canopy and props)!
Picture quality is the ‘downside’ - not a problem while flying but really noticeable when you watch the recorded footage on screen.
Ok, well I’m looking forward to having a go with mine, still waiting for the adapter for the foxeeer , iv also got my eye on a mini Nazgul, would only be interested in paying 80 pounds so depends whether the seller is happy to let it go for that..
Nice find! I have a meteor75(not pro) walksnail and love it, perfect for indoors and surprisingly good on a calm day outside. Have fun.
Ok I now have the adaptor, I have put everything together plugged my wildfire into the AV port in my goggles and powered up. The WF comes to life and I scrolled through the channels in it and found what I think is the right one as the 2 antenna bars pop up.
The top one moves so I’m assuming its connecting to the drone but when I look into the goggles I just have a blue screen. I assume Its the same as digital you have to set your port for your VTX.
The WF should be connected to your goggles and send the video signal (through some of those pins) - the goggles need to be set to display this ‘external source’ on screen.
You can validate what is the default channel the drone is using by connecting to Betaflight (you can in there set channel and VTX power). So you are sure you set the WF to listen to the correct channel.
Iv sorted thanks, lets hope its a nice day tomorrow ..
We just hada fly and loved it !!, the drone it self is rapid and the picture was ok once Id bumped it up to 400mw. Will defo look at purchasing more micros as there so much fun and can fly them almost anywhere..
One thing I cant get use to is the bloody antennas as I keep catching them on everything when I have them on ..
