Still not used central heating this winter.
Dave, nor would I have. I have been press ganged into it!
I am sat here, in my office, and I’ve turned the radiator valve off. The heat from the PC keeps this room toasty. In the day (even in winter) I have the window open. Meanwhile, the wife, kids are moaning it’s cold. And yet every room is 20°c. Go figure.
The number in the blue bar is the setpoint, i.e. what the the schedule is set to. Look at my office. I’ve set it to only come on if it drops to 10°c (which it never does, so it’s off constantly). And yet my office is warmer than the rest of the house … which is heated
I do have too much tech, so quite possible
The rad thermostats are set to switch on at 21°c, but the boiler’s off
The TRVs turn off at 21 … if there was any heat to warm them.
Obviously you have hot water. So what are you chatting about?
To me, it makes a lot more sense to turn the TRVs down to 10°c (or whatever) and control it that way.
Wares the washers having them permanently shut. So leave them open.
No water going around the CH anyway.
The CH should kick in at 3C … don’t want frozen rads/pipes.
I was flying this afternoon, still bloody cold out.
Not as cold as it will be in coulpe of days.
6 flakes would be an over-exaggeration! … as would 1 flake! #Forecasts😡
A lot more fun flying that stuff
