Bloody weather! ... and flyability

Spent a considerable amount of today in the attic clearing out shit to throw out, to make space so that other shit could be stashed there for a few years … until it, too, becomes shit to be thrown out.

During this stupidity I put a thermometer up there - 52℃ it maxed out at. #Balmy

So annoying the Brambles Cricket match was postponed. First time in 5 years that the weather has been perfect … in the years if wasn’t Covid-cancelled.

Best possible wind direction - upwind on the way out and downwind on the way back.

Blue skies and sunny, too.

Despite rain all day so far, it’s a surprisingly warm 20.4 here currently :parasol_on_ground:

What goes around comes around …

Coming in from the south.

This webcam will be interesting when daylight returns to FL.
#HurricaneIan

due to be there in a short while - hopefully not too much damage.

This will be big. It’s crossing the Florida peninsula with >100kph gusts in the centre of the peninsula.

Not so impressive as Florida, but it is local …

40 mph NE winds Friday 5pm, gusting to 50+ mph.

Hmmm :bulb:

Updated version as of now. Much the same.

Florida it is, then. Still time to get there. :+1:

At least with the hurricane, if you get the timing right, it just goes around the eye and comes back to you. :+1:

Well - that webcam has been taken out already. :fearful:

All the webcams on Senibel and Captiva islands are out.

Not looking good.

They have just said on the weather channel that it might go to a Category 5. Up to 155mph
