Ive done the obvious route through the Fly app but there’s no pen/edit icon to be able to change the name.
Apparently ios user’s have managed it no problem, but im on android.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I don’t have the above drone but the android app on my RC I do, when the drone & rc is powered on( connected) & your on the main screen for flying, top right 3 dots go under about model/name is there no pen there to edit ?
As said I have this option but it is only editable when they’re both powered on, otherwise in the box it says N/A,
I know you said you’ve done the obvious route through the fly app so was just asking or being a bit more specific rather 
Thanks Kirky but my RC2 doesnt connect to the Avata2 so im left with the app on my phone.
Ive had the goggles3 and rc3 connected but still no go.
Ive also noticed the flight logs aren’t showing in the data control flight centre so the issue might be a tad deeper or its 2 separate issues

Sorry I couldn’t help was just an educated guess on how the android app works on my RC pro I’ve changed the name to Atti On

Quick update, ive got the flight data to sync by just connecting the goggles3.
Just the the name change now.
