Subject to anything the gaffer has booked, I’ll be tagging along.

Subject to the weather forecast for that weekend, I’ll probably travel up on the Saturday afternoon and then camp over night.

Anyone interested in joining me, ( obviously in your own tent ), let me know.

If you do, I’m only 30 mins out of Clee….

Is this meet still going ahead?

I’m going to look for and book a pitch at a nearby camp site.

Would have loved to have joined this but already have plans, looking forward to more events, I’ll buy a tent if I need to etc

Yes… all being well… let us know where you pitch… I’ll sort out a meeting point ASAP

Not sure - week before the big meet, may have blown most of my flying day tokens on that tbh.

Fingers crossed il be there, been rebuilding house for my daughter for the past 3 months hoping she will be moved in and finished before then :crossed_fingers:

My friend is trying to get us a permit to shoot on the docks. Don’t hold your breath, but at least we are having a go… would be great if it panned out…

Whats the restriction there?

Were hoping to shoot the 7 drones in the air for the Birthday challenge that can only be done after Sunday 18th August thinking of moving to to after 18th August

I won’t book a pitch for my tent / over night stay, until it’s confirmed as happening :+1:t2:

Yes, that’s what I would be aiming for. Hopefully we can get a later date?

It’s owned by the port authority and they are big on not allowing photography on site. I’ve applied a few times and only allowed once as part of a larger group. They say it’s for security / terrorism. Thing is you can go on Google earth and get good views… the shipping container place is the same. There are places to fly from outside the dock area but difficult for a group with cars. Much easier if they’d let us in. Security are mighty quick to arrive without the permits. Anyway - we are trying….

Which docks are you referring to?

The business my wife works for, has offices at most ports / docks along the South and East Coasts of England, along with North & East Coasts of Scotland. One of the benefits of working in conjunction with the Big Energy companies and those operating Oil and Gas rigs in the North Sea.

Are there likely to be hundreds of seagulls though ? Ruined a very short flight round a harbour for me today ( and that was only about 10-12 of the buggers )
