Coleshill Memorial Park - Added to Parks and Recreation in West Midlands

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Park in North Warwickshire borough, that is NOT maintained by Warwickshire County Council so no drone ban here at time posting.

On site car park.

There is a cricket pitch, football pitch, skate park and playground here. When there is no football happening the field is large enough for a novice to use to practise flying techniques.

It's a fairly residential area so be respectful. I had no complaints by parents or dog walkers on my visit as my drone was mainly facing the cricket action so was obvious I was not focusing on any of the childrens play areas.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 28/08/2021. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Thanks for the info mate. I paid a visit to here and it’s a great place for novices like me to practice flight styles. The cricket and football pitches were both empty and the only people about were dog walkers and some youngsters. I went to the far side of the cricket pitch away from everyone and sat on a bench had the perfect spot to TOAL. :ok_hand:

If you want to be more out of the way in Coleshill go into the fields behind walkers way.

You can keep on going towards the river and have a huge empty space to yourself. It’s a bit of a trek though. Before you get to the river there’s a bit with some trees in the middle good for practising orbits and more advanced moves. Just follow the yellow path on the map.
