A routeway through the Lowther Hills, Dumfries and Galloway, the Dalveen Pass lies in the upper reaches of the valley of the Carron Water, 6 miles (10 km) north of Carronbridge. It contains the A702 road, one of the principal links between Nithsdale and Annandale.
