Daytime long exposure

Trying a tip from a photographer I follow on YouTube (Gary Gough). New Brighton lighthouse, 30 second exposure with a 10 stop ND filter, taken on a receding tide.

Hi @Darwinsdad. A really nice photo and a great tip. I was at New Brighton a few days ago to see a show at the Floral Pavillion but I didn’t manage to capture the northern lights.

That looks quite ethereal, I like it. An awful lot of photographers use the technique for things like waterfalls, fast moving river water and I hate it.

Before drones I was into DSLR photography with ND filters. I’d be doing daytime long exposure very frequently. You get some great results from such photography. :+1:
