Devils Beef Tub Scottish Borders

Located just outside Moffat on the Edinburgh road the Devils Beef Tub is a spectacular 500ft deep hollow below the hills of the Southern Upland way. The name derives from its use by Border Reivers to hide stolen cattle. In 2002 a female driver lost control of her van and it plunged 500ft from the road to the bottom, amazingly she survived the crash with only a broken arm and managed to ascend back up to the road and stop a passing lorry for assistance, the white van remains there today I think its upside down and surrounded by ferns so was difficult to spot with the drone.
I also realised after my flight that by flying out over the hollow that I was flying illegally (over 500ft from the earths surface) slap on the wrists and I promise not to do it again
