Diana Dors Monument - Added to Monuments in South West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

No permission required to fly, Shaw Ridge Leisure Complex is a free carpark.

Location: Shaw Ridge Leisure Park, Swindon
Artist: John Clinch

Diana Dors (1931-1984) was an English film actress and singer, noticed as a blonde bombshell in the style of American Marilyn Monroe. In 1991, British sculptor John Clinch was commissioned to make a bronze figure of Swindon’s most famous daughter who died of cancer 7 years earlier.

The statue is an exaggerated depiction of Diana in her evening gown, honouring her womanhood and female power. The statue can be seen at the Shaw Ridge Complex in Swindon, where it beckons all corners of the park.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 11/09/2021. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Apart from her body attributes (which most people seem to remember her by) and which producers took advantage of…she was also a very good serious actress, proved in a few films and a number of TV plays.
