Ah, thanks for that… someone did also suggest that the 25Mps he’s running at could have something to do with it?
Running at 25Mbs will reduce the quality of image and can get a bit more blocky or blurry than running 50Mbs but it shouldnt go jerky like that video. Atleast not on 1200mw at those distances
But before you make any decision Richard I saw this on Bardwell and Blunty video. Check around 13:15 . Its quite worrying and angering if true
Yes I watched that live… interesting times… I feel for those who have bought into DJI.
This is why Open Source is so much more preferable… Note that even HDZero isn’t Open Source.
Analog isn’t really Open Source either… but the tech is so old and widespread it may as well be.
Lol he won’t be buying DJI… Will wait to see what the new HDZero VRX is like and when’s orca coming with theirs? Still sitting on the fence with all these digital systems for now… But very much doubt with the backwards compatibility of DJI will ever go down that route.
But like with any tech you buy it now for what it is and enjoy it or wait “forever” for the next best thing ™
It really is worth waiting until next year if you can. For both systems, and Orqa.
Exactly that, youll wait forever and still be flying analogue in 10 years time. At some point you gotta make a choice and dip a toe because in fpv there is always some new promised land just around the corner
Yeah won’t be jumping on the DJI band wagon any time soon (probably never) and HDZero is maturing. Now got my analogue setup better it’ll do for now and tbh not had any “omg” issues last few times been out and don’t fancy going through trees to be able to see branches. I see plenty enough for the type of flying in doing ATM. Was fine around willington tower concrete (other than the crashes).
I honestly couldnt give a shit about DJI bringing out a new system even if that system is not backwards compatible. What will piss on my bbq is if and when they stop producing the older hardware
Yes… if you need to get replacements and they are no longer available. That is going to hurt.
Probably having to carry an extra set of goggles around with you if you buy into the new stuff… etc, etc…
Oooh that’s why I got a trolley Cart lol. Have 4 sets of goggles. Analogue, DJI, hdzero and the yet un released orca ones … And then 2nd pair of each for redundancy
Karl is right though, right now there is so much potential new stuff its worth waiting to see whats released and the quality of the products etc
100%…
I’m enjoying watching and building analog quads whilst I do so.
(Oh and flying them…)
I had some kind assistance on the HDZERO route and really glad I did, and I wasn’t even sitting on that damn fence
The increasing range with the HDZERO’s new transmitters and my OLED goggles give me a really good picture which doesn’t dissolve into pixels when I see a tree.
Have you installed it on a flyable quad now?
Sometimes people need a little nudge Steve
Youve definitely got a great set of goggles for the system too, its awesome that youre loving it
Have you got your hands on the 1W yet?
I’m looking forward to these 1080p goggles that will come out. For hdzero and dji. Should be an interesting year for fpv. Dji with oled should look real nice.
Theres going to be alot going on this year to look forward to. Do you think DJI releasing 1080p goggles is a response to HDZero releasing 1080p goggles? Or just coincidence on the timing lol
