Digital FPV.....DJI vs HDZero vs Orqa vs Walksnail vs openhd.....?

100%. He is very tied to it. He was limited in the flying he could do and was impressed with a lot of the system. Just not the bits we expected. The bits we know Hdzero does better.

Someone on here might have a Walksnail VRX soon to try out and pass on opinions  (its not me)

nor me…yet !

It’ll be good for long range. I can see me getting one. (Might wait on the goggles yet though. Pretty expensive.) It can be just strapped on a tracker. Something dji missed out on.
Also, with a long range craft, you’re just cruising so the extra latency wont be an issue as it is with close proximity

Thats where it will excel :+1:t2:

Yep, best way to use it, and take advantage of it’s longer range advantage

and me, when I can afford it, £300 :scream: and they get into the dealers hands

Is that with a VTX as a package Steve?

I wonder how long it will be before Skyzone and Fatshark start making 1080p OLED goggles with high refresh rates to take advantage of the 100fps low latency mode

Skyzone yes… fatshark… who has any clue. Orca is more likely

Which reminds me, wtf happened to Orca’s HD system? Seems to have just disappeared lol

Lol… it was announced about a year ago.

Yep, HobbyRC, VRX, VTX, Micro camera, 6S and including a few quad for better antennas

Thats actually pretty good. The vtx with micro cam is £160 on its own so only an extra £110 for the vrx

Also looking at the Walksnail package with interest. I like my Skyzone/Eachine OLED goggles and this would go nicely on my 7" cruiser. HobbyRC says out of stock/pre-order - are these pretty much still waiting to hit the stores in the UK or have I missed the boat? I don’t really have that sort of money available at the mo but could maybe plan to pick something like this up in time for the better weather to arrive in Feb/March.

Not sure if it’s some very limited intro offer though and will be twice the price by then.

Thing is, I don’t really want to pick the right tool for the job. I’m not going to buy all the different systems and don’t want to have to choose which aspect of FPV I want it to be (relatively) poor at. Sketchy picture at range or behind stuff? Noticeable latency? I’d rather not take any of those if I’m forking out a huge wedge of cash nd would rather it just does everything pretty well (and not cost DJI money)

I know, I know, I want the moon on a stick and it’s not likely to happen. It’s partly why I’ve been going round in the same circles for a year now and still flying analogue.
