Hi all I recently bought the dji air 2s was told by previous owner that there’s a c1 sticker on the drone from dji saying I can fly it please any info thanks

There was a window of opportunity last year for Air 2S owners to request a C1 sticker from DJI. They actually provided two stickers - one for the body and one for the battery compartment. You then had to send the a photo of the stickers in place and they sent you a certificate of compliance.
The stickers just show “1” but you can fly in the A1 subcat like a Mini - until end 2027. What will happen after that remains to be seen. It’s daft that the Air 2S is deemed unsafe in 2025, safe in 26/27 and unsafe again in 2028.
I did this via dji for my Air 2s , it was very easy to request , arrived very quickly and was easy to follow instructions and upload the pictures, a couple of days later I had the conformation it was now c1 . It was a shame they ended the window to request this so soon , the air 2s is a fantastic drone .
I was also one of those lucky few who happened to discover this route to a C1 label. I actually forgot to proceed with the second half of the requirements - taking a photo of the label on the drone. However, when I went into my account, the C1 request was still sat there and waiting for the image upload. Took a day and was all done and dusted.
