DJI Air 3S Gimbal Hardware Interference - Screw Rubbing on Yaw Motor

Hi everyone, I need some technical advice regarding my new DJI Air 3S.

The drone is only 20 days old and has only been flown once. I’ve noticed a clearance issue with the gimbal: when I move it manually, the yaw motor housing rubs against the screw on one side.

The most concerning part is that this only happens on one of the screws. The other screw has a perfect, consistent clearance and never touches the motor cover. This suggests a slight misalignment or a factory assembly defect in the gimbal structure.

I haven’t received a “Gimbal Motor Overloaded” error yet, but since the drone is brand new, I’m worried about the motor straining against this friction.

Has anyone else noticed this asymmetrical clearance? Should I request a DOA (Dead on Arrival) replacement from DJI?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, I would 100%.
