DJI Air 3S - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion

Of course :+1::+1:

It’s not going to be an expensive sensor but there is defiantly something behind that front panel, something to aid the obstacle avoidance maybe

I think I see 70mm and 24mm again. In which case its going to have to have something else very special for me to upgrade from my Air3.

Looking much like my remote controls, it could easily be an infrared sensor to improve impact avoidance with people… Not that it’s been that much of an issue, but may add to safety specs.
What I would genuinely love is a real-time downward distance measure so altitude is from ground not relative to take off…

The power needed goes up ~ by the square of the height … so it would be a bit of a battery user beyond the initial 10m or so.

Met a guy on holiday recently who let me fly his Air3, I too have an inheritance that I’m considering using some of to fund the purchase.

Depending on the final specifications, I may well be selling my current Air 3 to help fund one of these!

I may have a spare kidney to sell when this is announced.

Hopefully we might see a RC Pro 2 released alongside.

Where are you seeing 1" sensor?

So people can buy another overpriced remote that’s obsolete within 12 months again? :wink:

Bit crap to be bundling it with an N3 remote instead of an RC2…

Much prefer the RC Pro to the RC

But agree they need to keep them going for a decent length of time.

Never want to use a phone again to control a drone.

Neither do I, hence RC or RC2; can’t really see much difference between them and the Pro controller except that the standalone controllers like the Smart and the Pro seem to get out of date before their warranty is up… (imho as ever :slight_smile: )
