Litchi had that with their Magic Leash app … years ago.
The big benefit of which was that the app could be on someone else’s phone and it would treat them as the POI to be pointed at, and you could fly about retaining that POI.

Im still tempted. Even with no sensor upgrade on the 70mm camera. I really need one of these leakers to try to fit an air 3 battery in the new drone ![]()
Otherwise I cant justify rebuying batteries and my mobile charging system just for one sensor upgrade and lidar.
@UAVShipSpotter looks like they might:
Where does that “register” link take you to Mark @yorkie9668 ?
I just copied the Jessops email, so no link just the JPG

He’s too slow, Mark was way ahead of him ![]()
GADC gets a mention in the press release by dronexl.co
I’m quite taken with this RC Tracking thingy to put in your pocket for the drone to follow, and wondering if there’s any chance of it being available separately and working with other drones; I’m guessing it’s gps-based so it might be!
Try this for the Mini 2
According to Apple App Store, Litchi Magic Leash is indeed a free download, but only works with Phantom 3-4 or Inspire 1, and not with any Mini series drone. It also has only one review, which says it doesn’ work and gives it 1 star. I think I can get my Mini 2 to follow1! me and orbit me using Maven, which I bought but have not been able to try out yet because of the shit weather.
Happy to be proved wrong!
It works with my Mavic Pro. ![]()
'K, nothing to lose by trying it since it’s a free dowload. I’ll let you all know how I get on with it!
That didn’t work at all well; it wants a PIN before it will ‘connect’. What PIN, I’m from Barcelona I know nothing, who said anything about a PIN, this is the first I’ve heard of it, and there is no PIN in my email or texts.
Ah, I see, it needs another mobile device device running litchi. Litchi costs £25, and while magic leash is free you have to buy litchi. Just blown £18 on Maven, so litchi ain’t gonna happen, but tx anyway!
