Here’s the FCC public notice filing, it doesn’t get any more official than this ![]()
The Drone & Sundry livestream podcast from last night is very much worth a listen to in the background of your morning:
All the time this has been brewing I’ve been thinking about how it’ll impact hobbyists, but I was watching a behind-the-scenes bit from a film last night and realised just how often these things show Inspires zipping about or camera operators running around with a Ronin.
I wonder what the impact will be on the film industry… not just the Hollywood blockbusters, but also the budding filmmakers learning their craft in their back gardens.
Which one is more dangerous?
You forgot this option
There’s a good reason why naval strategy moved away from the battleship, and those reasons are only going to become even more relevant in a future with airborne and sub-surface drone swarms, etc. The Chinese, or the Russians, would probably be able to sink this for a fraction of the cost it’ll take to build.
Trump would definitely belong in the imbecile group.
That also stops all the ridiculous clones / shell companies dead in their tracks.
No more Specta, Anzu Robotics, Raptors, SkyRovers and other shenanigans.
I can’t imagine how much money DJI ploughed in to those deception attempts ![]()
Are there any rules governing what they already have in operation.
Whether its commercial or retail
Looks like the FCC have back tracked a little on their recent out right import ban on foreign UAS parts into the USA.
