DJI Fly - App updates and download links

I mean it could just be the fact that since the new rules I’m flying it in more WiFi congested areas (like Coventry Ciity Centre lol) compared to where I was flying it before. But who knows could be worth a look into both the latest app with a fresh install and the FCC hack. :+1:t2:

Will that mode only work with ios? for the Mini 1?

Yes mate :+1:t2:

Agh no good to me then, I’m android…

Rich, that’s one of the reasons I use DH as I sometimes use my iPhone and its not transferable

and for a tenner more you get the No-fly and Altitude limits removal :grinning:

I’ve just done a full wipe and re install of the Fly App, hopefully this will resolve my constant weak signal warnings on my OG Mini. :+1:t2: probably won’t get a chance to fly it till after Xmas now but we will see :slightly_smiling_face:

My son-in-law gets an AIR2S on Christmas day.
First time he’ll be using the FLY app, is the latest version that will be offered for upgrade a good stable one or should he go back to a previous version?
(I’m using FCC so mine hasn’t been updated for a bit)
Thanks
Steve :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m using the latest Android (1.5.4 or whatever) with my Mini2, which is also using the DH FCC mod, and so far no issues. I held off updating for quite sometime as V1.4.4 onward would not play nice with many Huawei and Samsung devices, but the latest is very smooth on my Huawei P30Lite and M5Lite8.

The latest app seems to be working fine, but I have heard that the latest RC firmware has caused some issues with disconnects

This is a good watch if you want to use Dronehacks with a new drone

Still getting weak signal warnings quite close in. But again this could be because I’m flying in more built up areas compared to what I flew it in when I first got it.

:man_shrugging:t2: who knows, the signal quality of the original mini is utter pants compared to the ocusync of my Mavic Air2  guess I should upgrade to the Mini2 but I just can’t afford it :man_facepalming:t2: lol

I thought the Mini2 had occusync 2?

Get it on FCC

It does, but I’ve got the original mini that uses WiFi… :man_facepalming:t2:

Original mini only has FCC on IOS I believe.

But for anybody interested here’s my Flight Log of my last flight with my OG Mini.

This flight was running the latest fresh install of the DJI Fly App

If anybody wants to have a look and see what you think. I’m getting weak signal warnings at 4ft away 100ft high.

I guess I should find a field out in the sticks away from WiFi and see if I have the same issue out there.

When I first got my Mini I never had a single weak signal warning that I can remember. Only seemed to happen once the mini2 came out.

Funny that DJI added ocusync to the mini2 and then the mini 1 signal strength seemed to be hampered could just be me being paranoid but what better way to force an upgrade to a new product that has a better control link by worsening the control link of its predecessor

Anyone got a tinfoil hat I can borrow?

I guess my last post should probably go into the Question and answers category as a new topic @Committee feel free to split this to keep this thread on topic :+1:t2:

Version 1.5.4 :scream:

Isn’t that the Version you told me to try?

:man_shrugging: maybe in another life…soz

Go back to 1.4.0 and give that a go, I am back to 1.4.2 on my mini 2 as the latest is crap and the images don’t save to the device

Also if it does improve you can use Dronehacks on the mini 1

I’ve just looked I’ve got a version of the Fly App that I installed on my work phone ages ago (v1.2.1) might give that one a go lol I think that one was installed via the play store before it was removed by Google.
