Now this looks interesting or is it fake news.
Interesting only so far as the complete pillock has chosen to use DJIâs name, colours and doubtless digital grabs, and is setting himself up for a potentially huge legal claim!!!
My guess is heâs some naive uni student with no understanding of trademark liability or infringement law!!!
Would the wings work as wings with two large holes in them?
Looks like it could be a bit tail heavy, and the thick chord of the wings isnât really conducive to a good glide angle. Would have been a good idea to have the underside of the drone to be a lifting body design.
Wouldnât it be simpler to make wing/prop guards that clip on to a standard DJI drone?
errâŚno. Generally, when air passes over a curved surface, it speeds up and therefore the pressure decreases and when it passes over a flat surface, air speed doesnât change and so pressure stays constantâŚso, when a wing is moving through the air, we get lower pressure on top of a wing and higher pressure under the wing which generates liftâŚa wing with a hole is therefore total nonsense and we havenât touched on the subject of aerodynamic drag forces yetđ Iâll caveat the above as there are many many wing aerofoil designs and some are completely symmetricalâŚbut none with a hole as far as I know
Not if you want to keep it below 250g, I wouldnât have thoughtâŚ
