Thanks for this thread, could not have done it without this detail and some of the troubelshooting in here. I had at least 4 problems along the way (like the pycrypto thing, download.jar not working, etc.) but figured it out eventually.
Yet to test it out as it’s been raining and no time, but Go shows 10,000m as maximum altitude so it looks like a success
What’s the deal with my firmware report though, it says success at the end but there are some blank fields and the first said the FW was corrupted, is this normal?

I couldn’t decompile the FW with the tool, because when it downloaded it was just called “FW_V01.11.01.50.bin” so I manually added “WM610_FC550_”, so could it be to do with that?
One thing I didn’t understand during the whole process was that everyone is referring to these FW files with names like the above, but I can’t find those anywhere - even DankDroneDownloader just has these sorts of filenames:
