DJI Mavic 3 & Classic - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion

Honestly Rich, if it only does 5.2 and has no markings I’ll probably go for the 2S, not sure I can honestly bring myself to send best part of 2k again to be in the same predicament as and when the rules change. As nice as the M3 will be we have to be realistic in the fact that it’s got to be future proof for that type of money or your just burning it. :yen: :fire:

I think my fear with the Mavic 3 (for you!) would be that a year later the class marked drones might finally start to emerge and the second hand price of all legacy drones (therefore including the Mavic 3) is just going to fall off a cliff.

Ok so who’s going to run the book on whether or not Steve buys the M3 the same week its released?
My money is on a Pre Order as soon as the official announcement is made :pound:

100%

If the M3 was going to be marked I’m sure there would be a leak already,

I’ve seen the Air 2S produce some really good stuff and half the price of the M3 it is tempting.

Worth a watch…

I’m closest - 10 minute walk - kiss of life needed?

On second thoughts - I’ll check on him next week :joy:

I’m seeing prices of $2,600 being banded about today for the full “cine” model.

£1900 English pounds, that 2S is looking even more tempting. :joy:

They don’t use the same exchange rate though

The Quick Start guide indicates it’s the Fly app again for the M3 …

Will it have Tripod or the shite Cine mode?

Cine mode, the mode that’s identical to normal mode with a slightly longer stopping distance :rage:

Whatever happens it needs to be Kite Marked, otherwise it will be another drone that will only last a year
And as for the Smart Controller 2, if that is true what a wasted opportunity to make it worthwhile, with a real workable screen, say 8 inches, sadly some of these leaks have been right before, and this if right is looking to be around the £2k mark

Here’s what I meant by that, the Mini 2 fly more is RRP $599 in USA

And it’s £549 here in the UK :pensive:

It was the same the Mavic Pro, the first Air, etc.

Ouch! That’s makes for one expensive bird for a years usage 🤦🏽

Anyway, there’s no point getting excited, it will be another 5 years before they can find a spare.truck driver to get them to us.

I’ve known ones that are far more expensive.

It came out wrong lol
What I meant was with the law changes coming in in Dec 2022 regarding close flying, if this MP3 does not conform to the CE Kite Mark it will be no doubt superseded by a newer drone that does, so DJI really need to get them done now and not in say Nov next year

Class marks :grimacing:

Not a single manufacturer is working on class marks for consumer drones yet.

And nor will they. They’ll sell you shiny things this year, then sell you more shiny things next year.

They’re in the business of manufacturing and selling goods :man_shrugging:t2:

That is why I will stick with the A2S until they do, pointless spending a couple of grand on something that in a years time will be pointless

Camera Specs:

DJI Mavic 3 Pro rumored to have M4/3 main camera

This morning, @DealsDrone shared on Twitter that the main camera for the DJI Mavic 3 Pro will have an M4/3 or MFT sensor. The secondary camera will be equipped with a 1/2 sensor.

The secondary camera is equipped with a 7x optical zoom lens, providing the DJI Mavic 3 Pro with 28x hybrid zoom capabilities.

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro supports 1TB SSD, ProRes, and O3 (OcuSync 3) that support a transmission range of up to almost 10 miles.

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro will also allow for USB-C charging and will come with a new remote controller with a built-in display.

If all these specs turn out to be true, which we believe there is a very good chance that they will be, the new DJI Mavic 3 Pro will turn out to be one heck of a drone with excellent low-light photography and videography performance, unlike we have seen in any other prosumer drone from DJI.

Any camera geeks tell me what M4/3 (micro 4/3 sensor) is over the current 1’’ sensor?
