We had the flying potato (DJI FPV) and now we have the flying burito.

Also they need to decide and stick to which arms go upside down and which flip straight forward or back for people with multiple drones.

Well I have been considering the Mavic 3 Pro I did put a wanted add on here I might bump it up, failing that there’s plenty out there for sale & im sure they’ll get cheaper yet ( only need the drone tbh ) ……

ok, another DJI product I’m just not seeing the innovation on… previous products in the range were (in my opinion) a step up but this is more like getting a car with a facelift for the new matrice 4 enterprise and thermal (upgrade from the Mavic 3 enterprise and thermal M3E and M3T… with a marked jump in cost but not innovation or improvement… ok addition of a lidar sensor and additional camera on the thermal, but essentially same sensor… ok added use of AI to detect people and cars…

whole load of more non compatible accessories.AND batteries… obselecence by design … more electronic waste … just like it used to be with every phone needing a different charging lead… charger etc… (still happens with fast charge etc to a degree but at least there is some standardisation and not everything being unique every time on every product… for a 4min gain in flight time… at the cost of a +29% battery capacity improvement)

sorry… just a facelift from what I can see… I’ll wait for the M3Ts and M3Es to hit the second hand market…

2024 has been significantly detrimental to DJI.

The impending ban in the USA has forced their hand, they’ve had to rush and dump every single product out of R&D and in to production to get FCC approval before the ban hits.

It’s why they’ve suffered major stock issues all year round too, they just can’t dedicate enough manufacturing time to the sheer volume of new products they’re pushing out.

Products are also being rushed out long before they’re ready, and features are often added in later firmware updates that should have been included at launch. Precision Landing is a typical example.

Another downside is that when the well runs dry and their R&D is empty, there’ll be no new products for a very long time :pensive:

I read somewhere the other day ( regarding rc pro 2 ) ill see if i can find it ….

Rumour the joysticks fold in on themselves so may not have to be removed then the screen folds down.

… surprise surprise :man_facepalming: :joy:

One day they’ll add the ability to take RAW images whilst recording video.

I’ll not be holding my breath. Well, actually, I probably won’t be breathing anymore when they ever add that. :joy:

We can but hope :+1:

Dont know how much ‘unfold to switch on’ will be appreciated. A lot of drones sit out ready to use for a bit between flights. Wonder if you can disable that.

Probably will be otherwise easy to slip the battery out slightly.

Ah, good, wide camera back to 24mm. Earlier rumours of 28mm seemed mad. It really is time to kill these ancient sensor size names. 1/1.5" is smaller than the existing 1/1.3" sensors they are using widely.
