An 12-70mm f2 optical lens is going to weigh a fair bit, unless DJI have been able to make some absolutely superb improvements on current lens technology.
My Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 lens weighs in at >1kg.
Ok the drones lens won’t have an 80mm front lens, but most traditional and mirrorless camera lens offering those sort of specs, are usually quite big and bulky.
That will probably be for a larger sensor. Everything scales … and weight by the cube of scale.
No manual rings (focus, etc) needed, too.
I hope it is a proper optical zoom, and not the 28mm fixed equiv mentioned above - too long for a wide. The 100MP sensor is presumably yet another quad Bayer, but at least the 25MP setting should be a good, usable size.

How will dji roll out the new mavic 4? Is it likely to be a mavic 4, mavic 4 pro and mavic 4 pro cine? The mavic 3 pro and cine versions were released at the same time. Will they do this i again?

Not sure I like the way the screen stows - looks like the RC sticks will have to be removed. Bound to lose a stick or two dropping them on the floor/grass - good for spare stick business though

It looks kinda practical especially when you get glare on the screen ( or to stop it rather ) hmmm not the nicest looking if we’re talking aesthetics tho but I guess we’ll have to wait & see, “ oh “ looks like it might be top heavy as well.

Wonder if thats just a non screen version of the controller with a tablet on it. I know theyre probably prototypes but theres something weird about making an in built screen look like a seperate device like that. Why grippy parts on the corners if its part of the controller Im thinking. Also under his thumb it looks like maybe the return of the D pad.

If that’s the finished design I’m not sure myself personally i like the aesthetics looks like someone with a large body that’s shaven their head
