DJI Mini 3 pro short battery life

Hi Folks
Purchased a used DJI mini 3pro and can only get 5 mins flight time from a brand new fully charged battery.
Any ideas please.

Is the new battery a cheap fake import? :thinking:

Let’s have a look at the detailed flight logs, it’ll tell us all about the battery cell health and save us guessing.

@harrison, it would be really useful if you could share the Airdata logs for this issue, it’ll help people provide you with a more detailed answer based on what actually happened.

If you’re not familiar with Airdata it’s an independent platform that allows you to aggregate your flight records and it also allows you to share logs with other people.

Here’s a guide on how to upload your flight logs to their web site / app:

Once your logs are visible in Airdata you can use this guide to share the log(s) in question:

Once you’ve created the share on the Airdata web site simply reply here and paste the URL, someone will then take a closer look for you.

Also just confirm that the battery is being fully depleted in that five minutes? And that you didn’t just mean the drone forces a landing after five minutes due to over heating or other critical errors and that the battery is still actually fully charged?

Again, those detailed flight logs will shed some light for us.

Thanks for the info guys. im new to all this.I land the drone when it gets to just one light showing on the charge meter.Just been doing very low flights in the rear garden so i could keep aeye on things.
The new batteries were purchased from the DJI official site.

Are you talking about this or the drone :thinking:

Seems both the controller and the Drone have issues with holding power.
Neither have been used for almost a year.I have tried the drone with a brand new battery and still very short flight time compared to what is stated by DJI

Have you let the batteries cycle a few times see if they improve?

Just a couple of times.Only got back into flying 3 flights ago.

Created a account with Airdata this morning.Will sort flight logs out when ive figured out all this web gizmo.
Maybe i should have stuck to just using my camera !.Saying that, it took me ages to learn how to use basics on that.
Ive stripped and rebuilt motor bikes and cars in the past.Nut and bolt resorations.Put a mobile or laptop in front of me and im snookered :grinning_face:

Horses for courses but if you can cope with the logic of internal combustion engines anything with a computer in is much simpler! Good luck with the journey - it is lots of fun and there’s some great guys on here to help out.

In not wired up for tech stuff mate.If i can use my hands ie nuts and bolts type thing in ok.Anything with circuits and im lost.
I hate my mobile with a passion :grinning_face:. Only use it when i really have to.Not too bad with laptop because i watch movies mainly.
After 2 hours messing around with the drone today i can say i hate that thing as well.
Its going back in the box where it belongs and i will move on :smiley:

If you are having problems with flight batteries and the controller battery, I would be looking at the charger and battery cradle, singly and combined.
