Any recommendations for a portable bag/backpack that works for the Mini 5 Pro and RC Pro 2? The Fly More combo bag just isn’t great.
I keep my Mini 2 in a Think Tank Mirrorless Mover which isn’t cheap but is very well made. I used it to carry a couple of Sony APS-C cameras until I bought the drone.
Looks great but will be too small for the RC Pro 2, unfortunately.
As per the multiple bag threads, I find a semi hard case for each bit of kit thrown into any day bag to suit the outing works best for me.
I was specifically asking about a mini 5 pro and rc pro 2 bag. Not a very common comb9. The second one might work even if not ideal
Also, as per a month ago above ..
You won’t find one, I tried every avenue no one has made one yet or more than likely never will, it is not a common mix, I have this for my RC Pro 2, but I also bought the second item from Amazon, it is great for the Mavic 4 Pro
For my purposes.
I use the original 4 bag in the bottom of a general 25l trail backpack. It comforatbly fits the 5. Rc pro 2, rc2 and 9 batteries. I do wrap the controllers in nice soft microfibre towels.
Hardcases have their place but for me i dont want to be wondering about with a blatant ‘i have expensive stuff’ flag above my head. Maybe the habit comes from me living in phone snatch central. Same goes for DJI’s own bags or other known drone bags. A big neon ‘come hassle me’ sign.
Btw, im only carrying 2 controllers whilst i fiddle with the pro 2.
I got a Lykus M1 backpack from Amazon, because I need both hands free to get at some of the places I shoot from.
As shown, it takes: 5 batteries, the RCPro 2 and Mini 5 Pro, DJI Mini mics, a rangefinder and Bluetooth mouse filters and oddments.
Finally got my first flights in today wow, it’s fast
A whole level of wind resistance higher than previous Minis, up from 5 to 6!
Is it? That’s good, but I was still getting wind warnings. The other odd thing is that I took off from a glass table, and it said it was unsuitable to land. I don’t know what that’s about.
The downward sensor lenses can’t see transparent surfaces, which is why your altidude readings might be a bit wobbly over clear calm water as well. Which begs the question of ‘how did it know that the thing it had taken off from was a glass table…’.
Reading the specs for the Mini 5 Pro, the AUW is 249.9 +/- 4g. That will take it over the 250g limit!
A DJI supplier say’s this is not a problem because the drone is rated and certificated for C0. So the potential AUW of 253g doesn’t matter because it has a C0 rating.
Not sure if this is correct.
Moved your post to this thread where, amongst many other Mini 5 Pro related topics, the weight issue is discussed and debated at length.
Am I one of the few on here who has not got excited about the Mini 5 Pro whatsoever… ![]()
Seems like it ![]()
I think it is a great little drone
It’s a 252g drone.
This was all covered quite some time ago now.
Scroll up to post # 587 to see the message from CAA.
