Hi everyone, hoping someone here might be able to help or recommend somebody who can.
I recently crashed my DJI Mini 4 Pro and decided to have a go at repairing it myself.
After replacing the damaged parts, I was still having problems with the camera. I originally thought it was just the cable, but after trying that I eventually replaced the complete camera unit.
The good news is that the camera now works and I have a live picture on my RC2 controller.
The bad news is that the picture is completely out of focus, and the controller is now telling me that the camera needs calibrating and that I need to contact DJI.
I’ve spoken to DJI and, from what I understand, they want me to send the whole drone to them.
I’m a bit disappointed by this because I’ve managed to repair the physical damage myself and the drone is working. It seems like I’m now stuck because the replacement camera needs something doing to it that DJI doesn’t allow the owner to do themselves.
So before I give up and send it to DJI, I thought I’d ask here.
Has anyone else had this problem after replacing a Mini 4 Pro camera?
Is there anyone in the UK who can calibrate/program the replacement camera for me?
Is there anything I can do myself?
Or is sending it back to DJI genuinely my only option?
I’m not an electronics expert by any means, so apologies if I’ve misunderstood how the calibration works! I’m just trying to find out what my options are before spending more money on it.
If anyone repairs these drones or can recommend somebody who does, I’d really appreciate the help.
Thanks!
