I have seen it asked around online a few times as to if the Dji Rc pro 2 auto switch’s the air 3s to vertical mode when flipping the screen, Yes it does 
I could only find videos from a few months ago and it didn’t do it on there so just be a fix in one of the more recent updates, I have attached a video below to show yous what I uploaded to YouTube last night. The controller was supposed to come Christmas Eve but didn’t turn up til yesterday so first chance to have a play with it
