Yes just researched myself, the cover for the Controller Pro will not fit the RM500, not giving up yet, will keep looking

Hello, it might not be so relevant but I was facing the same issue for RC2 and bought this product from Amazon
In practice, I think nothing can protect you from sun, despite good reviews, this product was useless apart from making controller harder to use, apart from the lanyard solution which would keep your controller in the horizontal position it did nothing else, just added weight.
