This was posted the other day to highlight puppy smuggling which talks about our wee one being rescued which is thankfully in our lives now and treated like a king.
In the final instalment of our Paws for Thought feature, Constable Handley from Belfast Harbour Police shares the story behind the discovery of ten cockapoo pups back in February 2025 and what explains what happens when puppy smuggling is suspected.
Xmas day the wee boy got present’s from the family
All fun watching him open and play
10 mins later heard him coughing and looked sorry for himself, seen the plastic toys ripped apart so I massage his throat and shoved my finger down it to check, i was keeping a eye on him and he just wanted to go in the corner and chill which I put down to he missed out on his morning nap with the Xmas chaos going on.
Later on we packed car and dog on wife’s lap while driving all of a sudden he was retching and luckily I had a wee towel at hand and caught there it all was loads of green rubbery plastic brought up
He was back to his normal self again wee typhoon.
No more of these cheap doggy toys for him again.
I’m so used to big dogs all my like that hardly anything they demolish effects them but have a wee one now has it’s own challenges.
I was waiting for the wee boys first experience of snow but all it’s been is the same as in your pic and no more, had camera ready and when went outside it was just crispy ice
Took her out a couple of hours ago going to get another dry+clean walk in before the thaw. Left it an hour too late. Still clean .. but the melted snow on the grass has ensured she’s soaking.
Rain in the first 4.375 days of February = 25% of the rain in the whole of January .. the wettest January on record .. and highest one month’s rainfall in the >5 years I’ve had this weather station.
If I’d known it was going to be this wet I certainly wouldn’t have got a dog .. or not one that seems to be 75% Hippopotamus with her love of THE muddiest puddles .. or “muddles” as I now call them.
I reckon it must share some of its dna with our GS Dog, who loves mud, mud glorious mud. I’m looking for a battery powered jet wash to clean him off before I allow him in the car.
Previous shepherd loved diving in deep water for rocks, complete nutter, frightened me to death the first time he did it was submerged for ages before surfacing with a rounded rock as big as his head.
