My wee dogs I used to clip regularly every year RIP
It was far easier then trying to dry them off as no matter how much towel dry them they still wet and a damp smell off them
I would shave them even a sheepdog we adopted and tbh it was so healthy for them as there indoor dogs and house always warm and great no hair on the floors or furniture as fresh coat did not malt and when it was about too again shaved, they loved it as well you could see the bounce in them especially in warm weather not carrying a thick coat and dry in minutes
Fortunately the chocolate lab looked brown shaved and sheepdog still have it’s lovely markings otherwise could be a albino looking on some mutts
.. in other news … this afternoon’s dog walk was the first in 2026 that didn’t need some degree of washing and/or drying before letting her venture back into the house!
No jacket and ordinary shoes were worn for the first time, too .. almost felt naked!
Of course .. now the sunshine is back I have to be careful where I sit in the house when using my phone.
The sun’s reflection on the screen creates a splash of light on the walls, and other places, that just HAS to be chased .. causing utter chaos in the process.
The red dot of my laser measure also causes pandemonium ..
Something similar it’s all peaceful at night and the idiot makes us jump out of our skin running barking out the petflap being the wee hard boy us jumping up thinking what’s out there took us a while to figure out it’s the reflection of light from our phones on the glass
This little shit had a lovely wash and blow dry yesterday and today while I was in a field cutting trees, while my back turned wondered off and found fox shit and rolled in it and was completely covered the smelly fuffer
