Doon Fort County Donegal

Doon Fort is undoubtedly one of the most spectacularly picturesque heritage sites in Ireland. It is situated on a small island in the middle of Loughadoon, just outside the charming village of Ardara in County Donegal.
I remember when I was a child, you were able to hire a rowboat to go out to the island and look around, but last time we were there a few years back, the old guy who used to do that has given up.
It’s a shame as it was an amazing place to visit.
