We’re cruising the Cheshire Ring from next Saturday. In the past, Ive always taken off from the towpath without any issues.

Looking at the CRT website, doesn’t the permission thing only apply for commercial filming? Which would be why the Silver Foxes needed permission (their vlog really is excellent) it the rest of us don’t need to worry?

Cos of course the Cheshire Ring route goes right past the Anderton Boat Lift…

@Renni-Aire, Colin, that’s how I read the Canal & River Trust letter as well, for commercial filming, also as discussed before we only intend to do recreational flying :wink:. Just watched another couple of Foxes Afloat, great information and tips for those wishing to live on a canal boat :ship:.
