Is it the same app used for multiple different models? i.e. if I purchase the app for my Air 2S then I’ll also be able to use it for the Avata when I get one too without purchasing again?

Yes as long as they use the Fly App

Can’t find the Drone tweaks discount code? Found and used the one for Drone Hacks… Thanks.

Its Here

Ah great, thanks chris!

it is not cross platform though, so if you pay for this on iOS you have to pay again for android or visa versa.

That’s not actually correct. The license can be moved from one device to the other regardless of operating system. The only caveat is that iOS requires signing with an Apple developer certificate, which must be paid for separately (as it’s a paid service with Apple).

So the switching of the license between devices (for the 1st change in one year):
iOS to Android: free
Android to iOS: 10€ for iOS signing OR handle signing yourself

Certainly wasn’t made clear in promotion as I purchased a new copy when I moved to using my ipad.

Had no use for Android on my phone.

Sorry to hear that. I explained this on the FAQ, where did you read details on this, what do you mean “in the promotion”?

Must have missed that. Apologies.

Didn’t see it as an option when purchasing.

iOS changes

Hi everyone,

During the past couple of months I’ve been struggling more and more with Apple, as they’re really doubling down on preventing us from installing apps from outside the AppStore.

One recent change they made has made it almost impossible for me to continue signing apps on my own for everybody. I’ve been trying different options for the past couple of months but nothing proved efficient in the long run.

As such, I found myself in the situation of having to choose to either stop making the app for iOS altogether or to start using an external service for signing the apps. The third option of selling the app unsigned and letting everybody figure out signing on their own was a no-go for me, since the process is quite difficult and I’m sure lots of people would have found it way too difficult. So I chose the only remaining option, using an external service.

This has its benefits, such as having revoke protection. Whenever Apple shuts down Apple accounts as they sometimes have done in the past, the app is guaranteed to be restored free of charge and it will be done much faster than I could do it on my own. Also, there will be a free device replacement within the first 6 months if your device is stolen or replaced under an insurance program such as AppleCare. And, of course, the biggest benefit of all, it will make it possible to actually continue using FCC on iOS devices. However, like everything else in life, this comes at a price and that is… well, the price. These signing services are quite expensive and while I will be covering part of the cost myself, I cannot cover the entire thing.

As such, the cost of an iOS license will from now on be higher than the cost of an Android license. I’m not going to lie, I am quite worried about this as this price increase itself has the potential to kill the app in the long run but, for now at least, I am out of options. This is the only way I could keep the FCC app for iOS alive.
