The Dock has been around for a while, but they’ve definitely been getting more traction of late… with the police in particular.
Feels like it won’t be long before our default will have to be to assume that there’s a BVLOS drone about to pop up from a nearby Dock.

I wonder if it’s just a matter of time before some oik climbs over the fence and steals the drone / deploy station and they end up on Ebay…hopefully not.
I can totally understand how they might suit Network Rail’s own fast response needs but it will be something else to contemplate on risk assessments when flying near railway lines.
Indeed, the Met Police rolled them out in Oct 2025. That’s why London has a plethora of TDA’s.

I’d be very surprised if she was running any type of drone services for the Met in particular, I could be wrong.
