I get my meds delivered by post via Phamacy2U. The postman leaves the parcel in my “safe place”. The system works well. If anyone were to steal and sample them they would either have problems stopping bleeding or be p*ssing every 10 minutes! 
‘Fixing’ a problem which doesn’t exist, except perhaps in some remote communities

Before the advent of UAVs other means of getting illicit items into prisons were used, one of the more common was the concealment of small packages in various body cavities by visitors or prison officers.
Frankly I do not want my medications delivered by either method!

Again it is the government, pharmacies are paid an amount set by DoH for medicines prescribed. If the wholesale price increases then the pharmacy can end up with little or no margin as the DoH doesn’t review prices often enough. Prescription charges are a rip off though. Fortunately I am of an age where I don’t pay, two preventative medicines, statin and anticoagulant cost to NHS £2.20 per month each if I had to pay nearly £20
In which case you’d use the prepaid service, £114.50 per year paid monthly over 10 months for as many prescriptions as you’re given.
Would still have paid £110 for items that cost the NHS £50. The prescription charge should be per script not per item.
