A couple of dusty takeoffs - with slomo
I’ve had a recent issue with grit in the motors of my Mini2, which I had flown off a dusty concrete floor. Cost £180 to fix. Are dust-clouds a problem for little drones with their motors close to the floor?
Hand TOAL solution to that. So many surfaces I wouldn’t land/take off my mini from.
Getting dust in motors is an issue. Usually its when landing (aka crashing), not taking off. This is from experience with FPV freestyle/racing drones.
The worst is the magnetic dust you get from rusty steel. That is attracted to the motor magnets and won’t come off without a lot of effort.
