Just witnessed a large drone operated by a Dutch film crew, hit an outside string of bulbs, lose control, fall from the sky, bouncing off the bonnet of a car before flying into a crowd of innocent bystanders standing nearby. Very little wind, just appeared to be pilot error. One lady appeared to have a severely lacerated leg and was in a lot of pain. We were exiting a local small ferry (Fowey) and stumbled into the scene as it happened. There was no cordon where they were filming or flying. The drone was 12’ish feet off the ground and about as far to our left. There were no warning signs or barrier tape. None of the crew seemed to be controlling the scene at the time of the incident or Immediately after the impact, the drone was bundled into a van and driven off before the Police or Paramedics arrived ! All quite shocking really and clearly very dangerous. I didn’t actually see the laceration itself but there was quite a spillage of blood. Quite a number of flying rules ignored me thinks and the injuries could have been a lot worse !!

Yep, we made ourselves available to the Police and took the number of the van.

I have had a couple of prop cuts from a Mini 2 and Mini 4 Pro, both while fumbling with takeoff and landing. They were like papercuts, not serious, at least to fingers, and bled like crazy!
Never had any from my larger drones, but I would imagine they would hurt significantly more!
I saw the latest David Attenborough film a few months back, they looked to be using Inspires. I’ve seen other outside broadcasts using something similar.
